The status of Video Search (apart from image search options from Yahoo!, Google and MSN):

• IBM's project, code-named Marvel
• Singingfish (part of AOL): works on a solution from November 2003, and was bought by AOL subsequently in 2004
• Yahoo! Video Search: beta version Dec 15, 2004
• Blinkx: beta version Dec 16, 04
• Google: planned for 2005
• MSN: ???

These search engines fill their databases indexing either phonemes from the audio file (Blinkx), the video file (Singingfish) or both (Yahoo!).
